The Catholic Primary Schools in the Jubilee Parish
include St Ambrose’s Newmarket, St Finbarr’s Ashgrove and St Joseph’s Bardon. These
school are part of the Jubilee Parish community and share in providing quality
education for children as governed by a Catholic ethos.
When enrolling a child at a Jubliee Parish school,
parents are suggested to enrol their child within the catchment area of
where they are residing.
In recognition of the relationship between the Catholic
School and the Parish Community, the following criteria establish the priority
for accepting enrolments:
The child is a sibling of a family currently enrolled at the school;
The child is a baptised Catholic living in the Jubilee Parish, whose family can demonstrate involvement in the life, worship and service of the Jubilee Parish;
The child is a baptised Catholic whose family can demonstrate involvement in the life, worship and service of another Parish and now seeks to participate actively in the life, worship and service of the this Parish;
The child is a baptised Catholic;
The child is a non-Catholic baptised child living in the Jubilee Parish. Preference will be given to children where there is a commitment to a Christian faith; or
The child is a non-Catholic baptised child. Preference will be given to children where there is a commitment to a Christian faith.
The Principal, in consultation with the Parish Priest, may exercise discretion regarding applications where pastoral considerations apply and therefore may determine a child’s eligibility beyond the stated criteria.
Birth certificates, Baptismal certificates and Vaccination certificates should be presented with the completed enrolment form.
